Lamise is a dedicated and passionate English educator with a BA in Theology, Religion and Culture from King's College London and a Cambridge CELTA. Having thrived within the UK's independent school system herself (Downe House, Francis Holland), she possesses an innate understanding of its academic expectations and ethos, allowing her to provide insightful and empathetic guidance tailored to each student's journey.

Her professional tutoring experience spans teaching children aged 3-12 to adult learners in Hong Kong during her CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), the latter qualification considered the industry standard for teaching English as a Second Language (ESL), where she taught grammar, lexis, and phonemes to Intermediate (B1) and Elementary (A2) learners. She believes in fostering a genuine love for learning by drawing out each student's unique voice and intellectual curiosity, building confidence alongside core academic skills. As an avid traveller who divides time between China and the UK, and with experiences burgeoned from her own mixed-heritage background, Lamise naturally cultivates an inclusive, internationally-minded learning environment where cultural awareness is seamlessly woven into lessons. She is a talented musician, having attained her Grade 8 in ABRSM Singing with a Distinction, interested in playing the guitar and music production. She enjoys reading about astrology and birth chart analysis, visiting museums & galleries. She is an avid traveller, fan of world cinema, and a talented writer.
