Teaching Experience

Leah began teaching and mentoring in 2018 whilst still in sixth form being encouraged to do so by her teachers in school programmes. She then established herself as a private tutor and has since amassed more than 2,000 hours of private and group tuition across institutional settings and private clients’ homes internationally.

Leah prides herself on having helped many students attain their place at Oxford and Cambridge through rigorous mock interviews, personal statement reviewing, mentorship and securing their A*s at A-Level. She has also helped students receive offers from the best art colleges in the UK, such as Central Saint Martins through portfolio review and mentorship. She is particularly proud of her impressive admissions track record across both state and private schools.

Leah has a broad range of experience in working with students as young as 3 to PhD students, including students struggling with additional challenges to learning like ADHD or Dyslexia. Leah first and foremost nurtures the passion of the student for the subject, stoking their curiosity by paying close attention to their personal interests and strengths, and making them see these in the subject at hand. She pushes her students to think beyond the curriculum, and passive reading, and encourages them to form a position vis à vis the debate at hand - asking them how they feel about an opinion or an argument, and what could be missing from the debate. She believes her stellar results from her lessons come from nurturing students’ self-confidence and curiosity - reassuring them of the validity of their questions and place in society such that they can think reflexively about what they could uniquely bring to the table and what they would like to see happen in the world about them

Extra-Curricular Interests

Leah is currently a postgraduate student in Photography at the esteemed Royal College of Arts, beginning to establish herself on the arts and culture scene as has been her intention since she was a child. She is often in the dark room, hand printing portraits, and when not there, with her friends, practicing portraiture. She is an avid exhibition goer, loves going to the theatre and cinema alike, and is obsessed with any and all art and photography books.
