Teaching experience
Olivia began tutoring privately 5 years ago and has amassed significant experience coaching students through Mathematics and English GCSE and Spanish GCSE and A-Level. She passionately believes that the key to her students’ quantitative improvement lies in a teaching approach that prioritises building student confidence. By shedding self-limiting beliefs adopted in school, her students have discovered new motivation, ambition and an all-round greater intellectual curiosity.
Warm, bubbly and empathetic by nature, Olivia achieves this confidence boost by assessing individual students’ character and needs so as to create a bespoke programme founded on teaching methods that will best resonate with the individual tutee. She prides herself on her patient, adaptable, and unintimidating teaching style, which has proven highly successful through the years.
In addition to tuition for school subjects, Olivia has experience providing personal statement and admissions guidance for students applying to Modern Languages courses at Oxbridge. She has also worked as a teacher for students learning English as a second language.

Extra-curricular interests
Having attended her first ballet class aged four, Olivia’s love of dance has only grown with time and she was awarded a Half Blue for her contributions to the Cambridge University Dance Competition Team’s ballet, tap, jazz and contemporary groups. Now graduated, she has turned her attention to improving the salsa and bachata skills she first developed while studying in Buenos Aires.
Beyond dance, you will find Olivia immersing herself in art, whether visiting a gallery or carving her own woodblock prints, at the bouldering wall, or venturing out on hikes. Having completed a solo multi-day trek in Patagonia and part of the Camino de Santiago, her next hiking dream is to undertake the Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu.
With Spanish and Italian now secured in her language repertoire, Olivia plans to tackle Arabic – an ambition inspired by her fascination with the culture and architecture of the Medieval Islamic empires that bridged North Africa and southern Europe.
Testimonials
“Olivia is a lovely person as well as an amazing Spanish tutor. My daughter had her for a few lessons over the holidays to help her with her Spanish. Olivia made lessons fun and easy to understand. She provided superb revision notes and my daughter came away feeling so much more confident. I would definitely recommend Olivia as a Spanish tutor.” – Mother of Year 11 student.
