Alongside her academic achievements, Poppy is a keen runner. During her time at the University of Cambridge, she earned Blues in both Athletics and Cross Country, and served as the Club Captain of the Cross Country team. Under her leadership, the women’s team won the British Universities Championships for the first time in club history.
Poppy has also represented Great Britain at the European U23 Cross Country Championships, winning team gold. These sporting achievements earned her a scholarship to Duke University, where she is combining postgraduate study with competing in the NCAA system.
Outside of sport, Poppy enjoys teaching herself Spanish, tackling cryptic crosswords with friends, and always having a good book on the go!
