Teaching experience

Rose started tutoring informally for family friends in Sixth Form, aided by the experience of assisting students for Latin GCSE ab initio at a nearby school and where she discovered it was rather fun! During Covid she started tutoring students formally 1-1 and continued to do so throughout University. This past year (2024-5) Rose has taken on more tutoring roles teaching a range of students from ages 9-20. Rose can prepare a variety of exams and has taught a mix of Latin, Greek, English, History, French, Spanish, Geography, Sciences, Religious Studies and Maths. As well as preparation for school admissions and exams Rose has aided interview preparation and also general academic exploration for the hell of it! She is more than happy to build general confidence in academic venture in most fields. 

As the 5th of 6 siblings and growing up in a busy family on a farm, Rose has met and interacted with lots of different people. Her tutoring sessions are fun, she forms a connection with the student and works with them in whatever way she can. You may hear a lot of laughing from behind the door but arguably twice as much work gets done as a result. Rose has worked with students with varying learning disabilities, in her eyes these can be superpowers.

Extra-curricular interests

Rose loves sport of any kind, recently delving into a lot of yoga from her former gymnastics days! She joined the Cambridge Footlights at university and loves comedy sketches and drama!

Availability

Rose is available for online and in most cases in-person tuition in London. Open to both short- term intensive preparation or more long-term academic support. Also happy to tutor residentially at home or abroad.
