Teaching experience
Rosie has over 40 hours of tutoring experience, primarily focusing on maximising the potential of A-Level Geography students to allow them to reach the highest grade boundaries. She is open to teaching all ages and is excited to expand her horizons.
Rosie decided to combine her love for the subject of Geography and teaching in October 2022, and she is now eager to teach as much as possible since finishing her Geographical Sciences degree at the University of Bristol. She was inspired to teach after embarking on two separate volunteer expeditions to teach English and care for children in deprived villages, travelling to Borneo in 2019 and to Costa Rica in 2022. Rosie has embraced her Geographical Sciences learning at the University of Bristol, with the course exploring a wide range of topics, from politics and the bioeconomy to spatial modelling and biogeochemistry. She has recently completed a dissertation focusing on Environmental Stewardship and hopes to translate her knowledge into the wider world in the future. Rosie finds that the challenging nature of the course and incredible quality of teaching provided at the University of Bristol have shaped her tutor sessions, as she encourages her students to think beyond what is taught and push for the highest grades.
In providing a personable and encouraging approach, Rosie prides herself on building the confidence of nervous students and forming positive bonds with her students. She is passionate about finding and enhancing students’ strengths on their own terms, which she believes solidifies academic confidence for future independent endeavours.

Extra-curricular interests
Rosie is an avid reader and is particularly proud of her various collections of Lord of the Rings and Dune-esque novels. She takes particular interest in reading up on Greek Mythology and telling her long-suffering friends all about the most exciting topics she has learnt that day. Passionate about nature above all, Rosie spends much of her time in the outdoors, with a particular love for kayaking, climbing, and hiking. Rosie has dedicated many summers to environmental advocacy, volunteering and interning across a number of conservation projects. Her most recent adventures include an ecosystem restoration internship in Northern Peru and working on board a cetacean research vessel in Italy.

Rosie is primarily available for online tuition but is occasionally available for in-person tuition in London and Bristol.
