Extra-curricular interests

When not teaching, Sam spends much of his term working on independent historical research and intends to publish various articles and perhaps a short book over the coming years. Outside of academic interests, he is a keen sportsman, and enjoys playing football and tennis especially. He also loves travelling to far-flung parts of the globe and is currently learning Spanish.
