Extra-curricular interests

Sophie always keeps her hands busy: she paints, draws, knits, and has recently had a go at upholstery. She is also an avid reader, and longs for the day when something will be invented to allow her to knit and read at the same time. She also loves singing, and is frequently forcing reluctant friends and family members to attend her choir concerts

Testimonials

‘Sophie has been an excellent tutor for me, she is patient, positive, and genuinely committed to helping her students grow. Even within a short period of learning, she has guided me to think more deeply about language - not just grammar, but meaning, structure, and intention behind the text. She is knowledgeable and adapts her teaching to my needs, making each lesson both engaging and effective. I'm very happy with her support so far and feel my confidence in English is steadily improving.’

‘Sophie started offering English Literature and Language tutorials to my daughter when she was in Year 9. My daughter was a bit behind, as we had only just moved to the UK. We were so lucky to have Miss Sophie as a tutor. She is nice, positive and always encouraged my daughter to learn. My daughter finished her GCSE’s this year, and we were so happy with the result. I highly recommend Sophie, she is a great tutor.’
